Our Start

So how did we get started?  

Well the year before Hannah was old enough to take animals to the county fair we went for a visit.  

It was always in my head that they would show beef.  Something I always wanted to do but never had the opportunity.   

As we were walking through the fairgrounds we saw a little girl at the end of a leadrope trying to handle a large steer.  

Well that was scary to see as a mom.  

Then we walked into the goat barn and she looked at Ron and I with her large eyes and said.  “I want a goat”.  

Well at the time a goat sounded a lot better than a 1200 pound steer.  

So the search for a dairy goat ensued.   

Comes to find out my sister-in-law was friends with someone in the neighboring county who showed dairy goats.   

After a farm visit to see their operation we brought home Gracey and Physco.  

Two years later we bought Starlight.  

Then the showing started!!!
